About

Dr Kensey completed her early years of hospital training in Canberra and Bega before specialising in General Practice. Her professional interests reflect the great diversity of general practice in Australia, having worked in a variety of settings including urban general practice, remote rural urgent care clinics and Aboriginal community-controlled health services.

Dr Kensey values getting to know her patients personally and takes the time necessary to offer thorough, holistic care. She adopts an integrative approach to her practice, addressing the physical, mental, social and spiritual aspects of her patients’ health.

Doctor Kensey does not routinely bulk bill but does offer the following
concession rates for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, Commonwealth concession card holders and children under 5 years of age. 

Telehealth consultations are charged the same as a regular consult. To receive a Medicare rebate for a telehealth consultation you must have been seen in the practice for a face to face appointment in the last 12 months

New patients:

Dr Kensey wants to get to know you and to provide a thorough assessment, so please book a long appointment of 30-60 mins depending on the complexity of your medical history.

Telehealth appointments, results and repeat prescriptions:

Dr Kensey offers telehealth appointments in the following situations:

  • For repeat prescriptions of medications that she has initiated

  • To discuss simple, non-urgent results of investigations that she has arranged.

 
To discuss more complex results, for prescriptions of new medications and all other issues, please book an in-person appointment.

Urgent care for long-term patients:

If you are a long-term patient and you need urgent care on a day when Dr Kensey is not normally consulting, please call the practice to discuss your situation. It may be possible for her to assess and handle the situation remotely via telehealth. If this is not the case, she will refer you to the appropriate colleague or facility in her absence.
